The highest quality eye exams at affordable prices
Introducing the iWellness Eye Exam
At Visual Eyes, we go beyond the standard of eyecare to help you protect the health of your eyes.
We’re excited to announce that we are the first eye care provider in Boca Raton to offer patients the iWellness Exam, the latest advancement in eye care technology that can help in early detection of common eye diseases.
Groundbreaking Eyecare Technology
The iWellness Exam uses state-of-the-art technology that produces high definition images of the layers of the retina. This technology (SD-OCT) is often compared to an MRI or CT Scan as it provides images with stunning details of retinal structures that are not visible with other standard eye examinations.
This is important because it enables our doctors to detect very early signs of eye disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and others. When diagnosed early, these conditions are easy to treat, slowing progression and often avoiding vision loss.
Your eyesight is priceless! Let us help you protect it
iWellness Exam F.A.Q.s
The iWellness Exam is state-of-the-art technology that lets our doctors see beneath the surface of your retina, where signs of disease first appear. Traditional eye exams and retinal photography do not provide this level of detail.
The iWellness Exam is a quick and non-invasive scan of your eye that lets your doctor see the layers of your retina to aid in the early detection of eye disease.
This state-of-the-art technology can help detect early changes in the retina that may be associated with various eye diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
Not at all! The iWellness Exam is noninvasive and doesn’t use bright flash light. The scan is quick and takes just a couple of seconds to complete.
The iWellness Exam is fast, easy and comfortable for patients of all ages and gives our doctors valuable information about the health of your eyes and your most precious gift, your sight!
The iWellness Exam is optional and at a additional cost to your standard eye exam. However, the extra cost will be waived for new and existing patients during our anniversary celebration from October to December 2016 🙂
It’s never too early to start treating these sight-threatening eye diseases
At Visual Eyes, our goal is to help our patients maintain healthy eyes and a clear vision. Regular iWellness Eye Exams can help our doctors detect common eye diseases. Early detection and treatment of eye diseases may reduce your risk of vision loss.
Diabetic Retinopathy is damage to the blood vessels in the retina caused by complications of diabetes. A recent CDC study reported that diabetic retinopathy affects approximately 1/3 of the diabetic population. The eye disease, if not detected and treated, can severely affect vision.
Glaucoma is a disease in which the nerve fibers suffer damage, permanently impacting vision in the affected eye(s) and progressing to blindness if untreated. It usually develops without obvious symptoms and is called the “sneak thief of sight”.
Macular Degeneration is an eye disorder that damages the center of the retina (macula), making it difficult to see fine details. It is caused by damage to the area around blood vessels that supply the macula and is a leading cause of vision loss for Americans age 55 and older.
Digital Eye Exams
We carry the most advanced technology to ensure you get the most accurate prescription to keep your eyes healthy and your vision sharp.
Eye exams are vital as part of your health maintenance. When you come for an eye exam, our eye doctors will check your eyes for conditions such as refractive error, amblyopia, strabismus, focusing problems, and eye diseases, just to name a few.
Our state of the art facility brings the most advanced Optomap technology to ensure the most accurate prescription and help our patients maintain healthy eyes.
Having the latest technology in eyecare not only ensures our patients will get the most accurate prescription and healthy evaluations possible but also get to enjoy the eye exam experience!
In most places, going for an eye exam results in an inactive day due to blurry vision once you have your eyes dilated.
Here at Visual Eyes, our technology eliminates that hassle and most eye exams are performed without dilation drops or air puffs. This means you can resume your activities as soon as you leave our facility with healthy eyes and clear vision.
Routine Eye Exams Are Vital
If you’re young and in great shape, you may not think you need an eye exam, however, your eyes might not be as healthy as your body. Our eye doctor will determine if you need contact lenses, eyeglasses or just assure you have great vision.
Detect Common Eye Diseases
When you come to Visual Eyes for an eye exam, our optometrists will check your eyes for conditions such as refractive error, amblyopia, strabismus, focusing problems, and eye diseases, just to name a few.
We will also evaluate your eyes to determine your overall health. Some of the common diseases that can be detected through eye exams include diabetes and high blood pressure.

Early detection is vital for your health
Your retina is the only place in the body where blood vessels can be seen directly. This means, in addition to eye conditions, signs of other diseases (e.g. stroke, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes) can be seen in the retina. Early detection is essential so treatments can be administered.
The optomap ultra-wide digital retinal imaging system captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image. Traditional methods typically reveal only 10-15% of your retina at one time.
